Position Summary
This position is responsible for shop production, ordering shop supplies and materials, shipping and receiving products, product quality control, documentation, tool control, and tool usage. This position will require knowledge of the many variations of chairs and their attributes, including fabrics used in the upholstery furniture business. This position will use computers and multiple software programs for production, quality control, order management, and inventory information.
This position will have responsibility for directing and training skilled and semi-skilled Person in Our Care (PIOC) employees in an industrial furniture manufacturing industry and maintaining adherence to institution rules and policies.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 03-14 with a starting pay of $28.11 . Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period of one year is required.

Job Details
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
This position is not eligible for remote work.
Shift : Monday- Friday 6 : 30am- 3 : 00pm
