Entry Level Procurement Specialist

The Procurement / Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, managing purchase orders (POs), and supporting contract administration. This entry-level role emphasizes critical thinking, customer service, and attention to detail while ensuring procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.

• Key Responsibilities
• Process invoices and ensure POs match corresponding orders.
• Resolve discrepancies between POs and invoice amounts, including performing necessary calculations.
• Review standard contract templates, checking for basic criteria and compliance.
• Act as liaison during contract negotiations, assigning redlined NDAs to the legal team as needed.
• Update POs based on cost center changes requested by the FP&A team.
• Collaborate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and maintain positive supplier relationships to secure favorable terms.
• Partner with finance teams to align procurement activities with budgetary constraints while optimizing spending and seeking cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist internal stakeholders with submitting and approving requests within the Workday ERP system.
• Communicate procurement updates and generate management reports.
• Identify and implement process enhancements and best practices for greater efficiency.
• Provide training to internal teams on procurement policies and procedures.
• Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required (Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or related discipline); equivalent work experience considered.
• Preferred : 1 year of experience in procurement, accounts payable, purchasing, or a related field (including internships).
• Experience with ERP systems (Workday, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong critical thinking, customer service, and communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 / hr.
