Position Description
Supervise a group of 10-15 maintenance technicians in a manufacturing facility that operates 24 / 7 / 360 days per year. Provide leadership to the assigned crew to ensure the plants safety and GMP policies are followed and that the crew executes work plans as directed. Integral member of the maintenance team that will be responsible for updating preventative maintenance programs and improving the asset care plans for plant equipment. Ideal Candidate MUST Have : Prepare maintenance schedules in line with the organizations maintenance goals and monitoring PM compliance. Frequently inspect facilities to proactively detect potential problems and recommend the necessary repair or maintenance. Provide support and advice during staff recruitment and ensure the proper onboarding and training process. Oversee and enforce good record-keeping practices SAP Generate work orders, enter comprehensive job details, and assign work to qualified team members. Occasionally inspect the quality of performed maintenance work.
Communicate policies, procedures, and any updates to maintenance staff.
Check that every single job is executed on time, and without compromising building users safety.
Work closely with vendors, outsourced service providers, and contractors to protect the interests of the facility.
Keep an eye on materials and spare parts inventory.
Help with the development of maintenance procedures and proactive maintenance programs like preventative maintenance.
Recommend budget items, contributing to the development of an annual maintenance budget.
Recommend upgrades, overhauls, and other changes to major systems and equipment.
Actively participate in projects (e.g. remodeling or rebuilds).
Actively discuss staff-related challenges with senior management.
Help out with day-to-day equipment scheduled maintenance work.
Check that the premises are safe and not in violation of any regulations.
Communicate directly with building occupants to resolve service requests.

Computer Skills CMMS Computerized Maintenance Management System

Experience Required 2 -Years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment or 5- years of total experience in a manufacturing plant.
Experience Preferred Union- Journeyman experience preferred Experience in a maintenance technical role strongly preferred.
Education Required
High School Diploma with some technical training in maintenance / engineering field.
