Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Cardiac Sonographer Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 10 / 27 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 32 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days, nights Employment Type : Local Contract Job Title : Cardiac Sonographer / Echocardiography Technologist (Permanent, Full-Time) Location : Robbinsdale, Minnesota (Some occasional travel required to other locations including Maple Grove, Minnetonka, Blaine, Monticello, and Buffalo) Salary Range : $39.83 to $59.74 per hour (based on experience) 25% permanent placement fee applies Schedule Details : This is a varied shift position covering days, evenings, and nights. The role includes 64 hours per two-week pay period. On-call responsibilities are both on-premise and off-premise. Weekend coverage is assigned based on departmental rotation. Primary Responsibilities : Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures including m-mode, 2D, 3D, spectral and color Doppler, tissue Doppler, strain imaging, contrast-enhanced transthoracic echocardiograms, and bubble studies. Assist in structural heart procedures and perform both 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiograms. Conduct exercise and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms. Ensure proper patient preparation and safety during procedures. Provide support to cardiologists during imaging procedures and report relevant findings. Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment and follow aseptic technique protocols. Use electronic medical records (EMR) systems effectively. Required Education : Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program with an associate or bachelor's degree. Certifications : Must be either RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer). Registry-eligible candidates may be considered but must obtain certification within 12 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Preferred Experience : At least one year of experience in cardiac sonography is preferred. Knowledge of EKG rhythms and aseptic technique. Ability to use electronic medical records and perform IV insertion procedures.
