Your Impact
- Design mechanical piping and equipment for renewable and fossil power generation facilities
- Prepare mechanical equipment and packaged equipment specifications and data sheets, RFQs, and technical bid evaluations
- Review mechanical equipment vendor drawings and data. Interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, and detailers / designers
- Ensure effective communications with other engineering disciplines
- Prepare construction / installation scopes of work for mechanical systems
- Participate in the development of PFDs and P&IDs
- Perform piping design activities including sizing, pressure drop calculations, stress analysis, and pipe support design
- Mentor and guide less experienced engineers
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline3+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial facilitiesEngineer in Training CertificationWorking knowledge of Microstation or AutoCADWorking knowledge of SmartPlant 3D or CADworxExperience using Caesar II or AutoPipeExperience using ThermoflowStrong command of English with good written and oral communication skillsEffective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple prioritiesProven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to company policiesAbility to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweekOccasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirementsPreferred Qualifications

WSP provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, retirement savings, paid leave, and other programs.
Compensation : Expected Salary (all locations) : $73,100 - $125,400. WSP USA reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range based on factors including location and internal equity.
