Superior is searching for a dedicated, quality-focused operator for our MGI Jetvarnish 3D Evo. This next generation digital foil and UV press delivers dynamic performance for a wide variety of demanding applications for toner, inkjet and offset printing. Capable of handling a wide variety of substrates including paper, plastic and synthetic materials- this machine enhances overall print quality via eye-catching special effects with 2D or 3D textures, embossed foiling and UV. Capable of 1 : 1 personalization and customization, this role requires an attention to detail and promotes creativity and problem solving via the next generation press software suite and touchscreen interface. Ideally suited for someone with previous press management experience, this role features similar day to day responsibilities in a more streamlined manner- perfect for a pressman seeking a change.

Job Summary :

The MGI Press Operator runs large printing presses, as per job specifications.. The Press operator must know the mechanical workings of the machine, possess good manual dexterity, and the ability to assess active production to ensure high-quality product efficiently. The Press operator is required to have a more technically skilled orientation, along with color knowledge and the ability to quickly change from one job sequence to another.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Operate MGI digital printing presses(e.g. JETvarnish #D) for print and embellishment jobs.
• Ensures ticket instructions for product accuracy, and follows up with Account Success and Support Rep when questions arise.
• Set up and calibrate machines for each job, including substrate alignment, ink / varnish levels and foil settings for each project as per estimator and / or pre-press specifications.
• Inspects proofs to ensure highest level of output and eliminate errors.
• Follows company policy and operating procedures at all times.
• Follows established quality assurance processes to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area while following all health and safety guidelines.
• Complete all other responsibilities and assignments as required to successfully achieve the goals and objectives of this position.
