Overview
Responsible for providing system and process / workflow training to one or more areas as part of a Clinically Driven Revenue Cycle : Corporate Business Services (CBS) Patient Accounting teams, Patient Access, HIM & Coding, McLaren Medical Group and Ancillary departments throughout the McLaren organization. Also serves as a member of the McLaren CBS Process Excellence team and provides training and onboarding for new Corporate / CBS employees. Position is partially remote. May require travel to hospital sites, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provides Cerner Millennium and Experian application and process / workflow training.
- Identifies recurring challenges or issues with end users, and develops job aids, user guides, workshops, e-learning, and / or curriculum to address gaps in understanding.
- Acts as a liaison to all supporting departments to ensure consistency of system usage, workflows, and training materials.
- Partners with IT in maintenance of Cerner training environments. Creates training scenarios and patient data profiles.
- Assists department managers to identify Super Users; train and work with Super Users when training new workflows and have them assist in identifying process or workflow issues.
- Engages in coaching, feedback, and performance improvement strategies for underperforming staff. Ensure staff have access to necessary policies, procedures, training and other tools and resources necessary to complete their responsibilities.
- Collects and manages individual course logistics, scheduling, class enrollments, course completions, and evaluations, grading classes within LMS systems.
- Collaborates with the Process Excellence & IT application teams for project planning and execution, curriculum development, and project execution.
Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources or a related fieldThree years training, revenue cycle and / or project management experienceThree years experience in delivery of virtual training (Microsoft Teams) and Instructor led training.Preferred :
Five years in Patient Accounting, Patient Access, or HIM & Coding.Three years of experience in Cerner systemWorking knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10Certifications through HFMA, ATD, or Cerner.Additional Information
