Position Summary
The Assistant Project Manager plays a key role in supporting the successful planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish. This position works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, clients, and trade partners to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to Martin’s high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Must have some experience in a trade or as an Assistant Project Manager
- Coordinate communication and documentation among clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Track project progress, identify potential issues, and help develop proactive solutions.
- Prepare and maintain project reports, meeting minutes, change orders, and submittals.
- Support the Project Manager in contract administration, procurement, and cost tracking.
- Participate in project meetings and site visits to stay informed on progress and field conditions.
- Uphold Martin Commercial’s commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction in all project phases.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).1–3 years of experience in construction project coordination or management support preferred.Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar) is a plus.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Why Join Martin Commercial
