Looking for an experienced Production Planner for the manufacturing of the Filmetrics product line.
Work closely with Master Scheduling to understand build plan positioning, changes and required flexibility.
Planner must understand manufacturing capacity and allocate as required to meet build plan commitments.
Work closely with purchasing to understand incoming material status and risk.
Track shortages and run shortage meetings with procurement team.
Highlight to management critical part shortages that will jeopardize ship schedule.
Determines material requirements from production schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures.
Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Interacts with senior internal personnel.
Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle in a short lead-time, high mix manufacturing setting.
Will receive a planner code and follow a standard planning cadence.
Assigned special projects related to site optimization, Kanban setup, and lean manufacturing.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in business preferred with a minimum of 2-4 years related work experience desired; internship experience is valuable.
Completing their BA Degree in Planning which already has some Intern experience desired
Will consider 8-10 years of experience.
Experience with SAP, MS Excel (formulas, data manipulation) and PowerPoint (slide decks).
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred, but Oracle or Microsoft 365 acceptable).

Able to Pivot when needed, and eager to learn.
Can be given task to take to complete and think outside the box.
Ability to work well with cross-functional teams as well as independently.

Demonstrated aptitude to learn new concepts and norms quickly.
Organized & Technically Skilled
Any manufacturing background is acceptable (pharma, aerospace, etc.).
Open-minded, eager to learn, adaptable, and growth-oriented.

Technical Certification Bonus : Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
