What you'll do

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Duluth,GA! This hybrid role offers the unique blend of working collaboratively within our Duluth office and the flexibility of remote work.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for strategic development of products and day to day supplier quality support at the Atlanta facility. The role will participate and lead in cross-functional teams that drive efforts in helping develop and build high quality critical components related to aerospace and satellite communications. In this role you will lead efforts related to AS9100 - APQP / PPAP implementation both internally and externally with key suppliers.

The day-to-day

• Provide mentorship to program management, engineering, and operations on quality planning and execution to fulfill the overall quality mission.
• Be accountable for the planning and execution of quality activities by the quality team members.
• Team with Supply Chain to drive supplier excellence initiatives.
• Resolve non-conforming material issues.
• Manage ISO9001 / AS9100 adherence audits, reviewing findings, reviewing Viasat procedures, and communicating status reports to upper management.
• Ensuring Advanced Product Quality Planning is deployed across the New Product Development life cycle with quality built into the design, manufacturability, and serviceability.
• Champion production validation and risk mitigation tools with suppliers with tools like Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) deliverables.
• Ensuring the RCCA process provides prompt resolution and robust solutions to prevent a recurrence, focusing on mistake-proofing and process improvement.

Salary range

$104,000.00 - $164,500.00 / annually.

For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $129,000.00- $194,000.00 / annually
