We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Southlake, Texas. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key financial operations, including maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and handling essential accounting tasks. Responsibilities :
- Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
- Maintain and update the general ledger with precision and accuracy.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely completion.
- Perform bank reconciliations and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Reconcile subsidiary accounts, ensuring alignment with the general ledger.
- Prepare and review financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Generate periodic financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Process invoices, payments, and vendor communications to support accounts payable.
- Assist in accounts receivable collections and follow up with customers regarding overdue payments.
- Provide documentation and support for audits and financial reviews, addressing inquiries related to accounting records.
- Proven experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
- Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and maintaining general ledger accounts.
- Strong knowledge of journal entries and month-end close procedures.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of compliance and record-keeping practices.
- Effective communication skills to interact with vendors, customers, and auditors.
