Compressor Engineer- Product Development

In this position…

This position will work closely with the Technical Expert and Applications Supervisor to lead / support the global thermal systems teams in A / C Compressor (Belt Driven and Electric) development. The Compressor is a large contributor to the cost of quality within the company. This position will optimize Compressor designs and will interface with Refrigerant, Controls and Vehicle Attribute teams within Thermal Systems

Qualifications

You'll have…

• 5+ years of experience in Compressor designs and development.
• Extensive knowledge of Compressor architectures and designs.
• Master of Engineering (electrical, mechanical, controls, systems, etc.) preferred.
• Demonstrated systems engineering approach to vehicle refrigerant systems.
• Proven history of evaluating choices and directing a team based on technical ideals balanced with industrialization realities.
• Key :

Ability to lead and align collections of people that do not directly report to this position.

This position is a range of salary grades 5-8.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
