Job Title : Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Propulsion and Commissioning Engineer
Location : Auburn Hills, MI
Responsibilities
- Design and build HIL benches that mimic Stellantis' propulsion systems.
- Commission new HIL setups by configuring hardware, wiring, and software connections.
- Run tests to validate propulsion features (engine controls, transmission, hybrid systems, battery systems).
- Troubleshoot and fix issues in hardware / software integration.
- Support Stellantis engineers by providing accurate test data and reporting results.
- Maintain and upgrade test systems as new propulsion technologies are introduced.
- Work closely with Stellantis' cross-functional teams (software, controls, wiring, calibration, and suppliers) to ensure successful validation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering (Master's preferred).Hands-on experience with HIL systems (such as dSPACE or NI systems).Knowledge of propulsion systems – internal combustion, hybrid, or electric.Familiarity with MATLAB / Simulink or similar modeling tools.Good problem-solving, debugging, and teamwork skills.Seniority level
