Job Title : Facilities Engineer IV

Schedule : 100% Onsite | Monday – Friday, typically 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (flexible)
Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer IV to lead the planning, execution, and maintenance of critical plant support systems and infrastructure. In this role, you will develop and manage multi-year equipment upgrade and replacement plans, oversee facilities engineering projects, and ensure optimal operation and compliance of all building and plant support systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to managing both internal teams and external contractors.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Planning & Project Management :
- Develop and execute multi-year equipment upgrade and replacement strategies.
- Lead and manage facilities engineering projects from concept through completion.
- Establish project plans, including scope, schedule, cost estimates, procurement strategy, and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare and route Appropriation Requests and deliver periodic project updates to stakeholders.
- Support safety and environmental programs and ensure regulatory and internal policy compliance.
Systems Management & Maintenance :
Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for plant support equipment including :HVAC systems, chillers, compressed air systems, plumbing, power distribution, exhaust fans, and roll-up doors.Maintain and upgrade control systems for chilled water, water filtration, compound delivery and silos, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and other facilities-related monitoring systems.Monitor performance, troubleshoot alarms, and support maintenance on plant processing equipment.Vendor & Contractor Coordination :
Manage and coordinate external vendors and contractors supporting facility operations such as HVAC, roofing, cleaning, plumbing, landscaping, and snow removal.Establish project teams and ensure timely and quality project execution.Qualifications :
Required Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred).Minimum 5+ years of experience in facilities project management, including subcontractor coordination for building maintenance and repair.Minimum 3+ years of experience in controls-related programming and troubleshooting.Required Skills :
Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and / or Autodesk Inventor.Ability to learn and manage new processes and equipment (e.g., raw materials systems, HVAC, pollution abatement, compressed air, chilled water, BAS).Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.Preferred Qualifications :
