Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for a skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team in Fresno, California. This position supports critical financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and reporting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in QuickBooks, along with a solid foundation in accounting principles.

Responsibilities :

• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including issuing invoices, applying payments, and maintaining accurate aging reports.
• Manage accounts payable by processing vendor bills, coding expenses, and scheduling payments.
• Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit card transactions, and intercompany accounts.
• Record journal entries and assist with month-end closing activities.
• Maintain organized financial records and ensure proper documentation of accounting files.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses for management review.
• Support annual reporting requirements, including audit preparation and 1099 filings.
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of QuickBooks data.
• Provide administrative support for payroll allocations, budgets, and expense reports.
• Collaborate on process improvement initiatives and special accounting projects.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small business or multi-entity environment.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and general accounting procedures.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions is preferred.
