Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Hospital Patrol Full-Time in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will be a visible representative of Allied Universal's caring and people-first culture, working as part of a reliable and agile team that values integrity and innovation. This is an engaging opportunity to make a difference in a dynamic medical setting.

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations on the healthcare property in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and / or address potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities or incidents according to established protocols.
  • Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to support a secure environment within the healthcare setting.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
