Overview
The City of Santa Ana is hiring a part‑time Library Assistant to support patrons, reference service, and collection programs. The role works up to 19 hours per week with flexible schedule, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in a library system, archives, or special collections setting, or equivalent combination of experience and training. Knowledge of modern public library systems, reference materials, classification, cataloging, database searching, and technology in libraries. Ability to communicate effectively with different age groups, analyze data, write reports, and assist in program planning and procedure development. Proficient with Windows, office applications, Internet, and database searching.
