Principal Consultant – Carbon Advisory

Take initiative in leading and supporting proposal development to win new projects

Oversee studies, ensuring the preparation, review, and delivery of high-quality reports

Assist clients in tracking their energy and fuel consumption along with corresponding CO₂-equivalent emissions

Help clients evaluate and shortlist emissions reduction opportunities related to feedstock, fuels, electricity sources, and technology solutions

Guide clients in identifying and estimating the cost of key actions toward achieving net-zero emissions

Build strong business relationships with clients and collaborate with internal consulting teams

Manage projects by leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technical professionals

Share knowledge with junior staff and supervise their project contributions

Serve as the main technical liaison, managing ongoing client relationships

Collaborate with other segments of the Energy Transition Hub in the Middle East, such as hydrogen, CCS, and renewables, to deliver integrated energy solutions

Be accountable for the financial success of assigned studies and projects

Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in Process Engineering, Engineering Science, or a relevant environmental / sustainability-focused field

Proven ability in business development, leading project teams, and working across multiple disciplines

In-depth knowledge of international energy efficiency and carbon reduction practices

Solid understanding of the policy and economic frameworks underpinning global climate change efforts

Strong grasp of emissions accounting, decarbonization methods, circular carbon economy, and energy transition strategies; familiarity with the Middle East region is a strong asset

Analytical thinker who can deconstruct complex challenges and identify key components

Experience in mentoring and supporting the growth of junior team members

Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Skilled in crafting clear, concise reports and delivering impactful presentations

Proven organizational and project leadership abilities

Desirable

Experience in decarbonization planning and lifecycle assessment

Proficient in supporting clients with energy mapping and emissions tracking

Skilled in identifying and evaluating emissions reduction strategies

Chartered status with a recognized professional body (or on the path to achieving it)

Strong negotiation capabilities

Arabic language proficiency is a plus
