Entry Level Accounts Payable Specialist

Great opportunity with a regional family-owned and professionally managed company, serving the hospitality and healthcare markets since 1934. This position will support the Assistant Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Department.

Responsibilities :

• Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and expense reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with Finance policies and procedures
• Prepares payments by accruing expenses, assigning account numbers.
• Provides financial, administrative and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expense accounts are charged by the cost center.
• Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals and logs
• Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.

Assist the Assistant Controller with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounts Payable
