Data Analytics Specialist (POLICE / Public Safety Technology)

Immediate long term contract opportunity for Data Analytics Specialist with direct client in Minneapolis, MN. Trigyn's direct government client has a long-term contract opportunity for a Data Analytics Specialist in Minneapolis, MN. Qualifications :

• At least three years of previous experience working with an agency that has implemented a police pattern or practice investigation consent decree or similar negotiated settlement.
• Experience with current public safety technology trends and systems.
• Experience with SQL Server, Tableau, data quality assessment, and data analytic project Description : It is the intention of the client to enhance its data analytics capabilities, implementing effective data governance, and fulfilling the data reporting and compliance requirements of the settlement agreement. The selected consultant will work collaboratively with client and City staff to develop internal and public-facing dashboards, mentor staff, and provide strategic recommendations to strengthen client's data infrastructure and organizational capacity. Responsibilities : Augmentation of the client’s Data Analytics Staff
• Assisting analytic staff in developing and enhancing public dashboards.
• Develop internal Settlement Agreement compliance progress dashboards.
• Develop data quality queries and dashboards for data required for compliance with the Settlement Agreement.
• Monitor project status to assure compliance to the Settlement Agreement Data Plan.
• Develop auditing analytics to quantify data collection compliance, especially in areas with new policies.
• Assist / mentor analytic staff and develop, with City staff, public facing dashboards required by the Settlement Agreement.
• Provide support documentation to analytics staff Governance implementation and mentoring
• Participate in Data / IT Governance meetings and assist in the implementation of structures and processes with the Governance Council
• Mentor staff to become on-going members of the governance group Provide recommendations to enhance the client’s information analysis capabilities
• Evaluate the current staffing level of the data analytics staffing level and organization structure
• Develop recommendations for staffing levels, organizational structure, and staff up skilling plans.
