The Packaging Engineer will work within a cross-functional environment with R&D, Operations, Quality, Sourcing, and Marketing to drive packaging development, process optimization, and production efficiency. The role focuses on re-launching brands, improving packaging performance, validating technical packaging solutions, and ensuring smooth production line startups in a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities :
Develop and optimize packaging designs, ensuring compatibility with machine / material interfaces and production efficiency.
Conduct packaging trials, commissioning, start-ups, and supplier experiments to validate technical solutions.
Collaborate with vendors, engineering teams, and cross-functional partners for product commercialization and process improvements.
Create and maintain packaging specifications, technical documentation, drawings, and reports.
Lead margin improvement, cost-reduction, and innovation initiatives.
Provide technical expertise on materials, cartoning, case packing, and packaging systems.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, food manufacturing requirements, and safety protocols.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or related field.
5+ years of packaging engineering experience in manufacturing or food industry.
Proficient with Interspec, Optiva, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and TOPS.
Strong knowledge of packaging machinery, process engineering, and lifecycle management.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills.
