A company is looking for a Prior Authorization Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Verify insurance eligibility and benefit levels for medications

Coordinate with payers and clinical partners to facilitate the authorization process

Document patient information and maintain compliance with organizational policies

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Technician registration preferred

2 or more years of experience in a retail pharmacy or medical billing setting

Knowledge of pharmacy software and Microsoft Word

Ability to perform basic mathematical operations

Understanding of pharmacy benefit information and clinical programs
