Job Description

Highland Consulting Group, a construction specific recruiting firm specializing in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, is partnered with a growing mechanical contractor in the Long Island, NY area to find a Safety Manager

This is a permanent position that will be overseeing all safety concerns for the company. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of safety experience within the construction industry. Knowledge of mechanical construction projects, particularly HVAC, is desired but not required. This is a permanent position working in the 5 boroughs and northern New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities :

• Review and modify the company's health and safety program as needed.
• Coordinate and present tool box talks.
• Will assign and monitor online training.
• Will audit job site safety and conduct hazard assessments.
• Wil review all claims, perform root cause analysis and ensure that reports are submitted.
• Create and monitor safety program budget.
• Provide monthly reporting of incidents, training, etc.
