A contemporary Japanese-inspired restaurant in Upstate New York is searching for an Executive Chef to lead its kitchen operations. This intimate dining destination (approx. 45 seats inside plus a seasonal patio) features an open kitchen and showcases a refined approach to sushi along with creative, chef-driven dishes that appeal to a broad audience.
The Role
The Executive Chef will oversee all aspects of kitchen management, including food ordering, cost control, scheduling, and team leadership. This is a hands-on position—our ideal candidate is comfortable working the line while also inspiring the team. A background in Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi, is strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of sushi preparation and Japanese culinary techniques
Creativity in menu development and driving guest traffic beyond sushi-focused items
Confidence working in an open-kitchen environment with direct guest interaction
