We are looking for a Certified Paralegal to join our team to assist our Chief Legal Officer in managing and coordinating among our various outside counsel and respective matters, preparing, and organizing various legal documents, and providing clerical and research support services. We welcome candidates with strong character who demonstrate the ability to work hard and think creatively. As a Certified Paralegal with Liberty Home Guard, your day-to-day will look something like this :

Conduct research, investigate facts, and develop legal arguments.

Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.

Liaise between outside counsels and other external third parties.

Coordinate efforts as required among the internal teams, such as gathering data relating to ongoing legal matters

Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, depositions, and pleadings.

Assist attorneys with preparation for depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.

Keep track of changes in legal frameworks and provide timely updates on these changes.

Perform administrative duties (i.e., calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, prepare and file documents with courts, etc.)

What You’ll Bring to the team :

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Understanding of legal terminology and principles, research methods, arbitration & court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment.

Education and Experience :

An associate degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is required, but a Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred.

A paralegal certificate is required.

A minimum of 3 years of related experience as a paralegal is required.
