Immigration Paralegal

Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP seeks an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our team in our New Haven office. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petition preparation. Responsible for preparing H-1B, N-400, I-130, I-140 and I-485 petitions. PERM expertise preferred.

Candidates should possess strong oral and written communication skills, high attention to detail, excellent client-facing service, independent thinking, issue-spotting capabilities, and ability to work both independently and part of a close team.

This is an in-office, non-remote position. A Bachelor's degree and / or paralegal certificate is required.

Primary Job Responsibilities :

• Assisting attorneys in drafting immigration forms in connection with preparing / submitting petitions to relevant government agencies
• Ensuring compliance with relevant immigration regulations
• Tracking case deadlines and processing times
• Interfacing with clients and managing client documents
• Providing general case management

Job Type : Full-time
