Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives across BPS business with the manufacturing team in a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical or cleanroom setting. Design, develop, and validate all packaging systems (new, existing, developing) to meet regulatory, product integrity, and operational requirements.
- Drive improvement of packaging systems by collaborating cross-functionally with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to meet operational and compliance requirements; serve as technical and program SME internally and externally.
- Plan, design, develop, validate, and improve package systems for sterile and non-sterile products.
- Focus on usability, cost reduction, and sustainability of all packaging.
- Lead cross functional teams, site technical transfers, and other packaging initiatives; collaborate with Operations, Design, Quality, Commercial, Procurement, and others to manage packaging systems throughout the product life cycle.
- Maintain SME knowledge on packaging integrity, shelf-life, transit simulation, and material compatibility testing; support audits and regulatory inspections as SME.
- Lead or participate in risk assessments, sustainability, and cost improvement initiatives related to packaging; define and deliver projects to plan.
- Develop global packaging standards and lead strategic packaging initiatives with focus on best practices, stakeholder value, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Lead and develop internal and external component packaging strategy.
- Routinely communicate with site and global cross-functional teams on project status, improvements, and initiatives; provide monthly reporting for projects related to packaging.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent related degree required.Project Management experience (including packaging projects) 1-2 years required.5 to 7 years of experience in packaging engineering (experience in a regulated industry with a preferred emphasis in Life Sciences) required.Benefits
