General Laborer and Machine operator

The Carlson Company in Wichita Kansas has immediate job openings available for a general laborer and Machinist in our factory.

These are full-time job for detail-oriented people with the ability to work independently.

General Labor duties will include tasks such as cleaning machinery, removing debris, preparing work areas, and organizing materials inside as well as outside the facility, physical movement of goods, using forklifts or manually carrying items, sometimes assisting others and providing support to ensure a smooth workflow.

Machinist duties include being able to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut.

Read and understand engineering drawings and routing's.

Meet and exceed job time requirements in an efficient manner.

Experience with use of precision instruments, gauges, tools, basic math and problem-solving skills.

You must follow safety directives, wear eye and ear protection, and steel toed shoes.

Must be able to physically lift over 25lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and work in an environment that may be exposed to dirt, extreme temperatures and loud noise.

All applicants must be at least 18 years old.

You must be able to pass a drug screen.

This is a Full time, Daytime position (We close at 4 : 30 pm) with paid Health Insurance (for the employee -  not  a family plan) and the possibility of overtime.
