The ER has 22 beds, 7 bay fast track unit operates within a trauma III hospital setting, ensuring patients receive optimal medical attention and support. • Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.\n\nEducation : \n
• Associate's Degree in Nursing Required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred\n\nLicense : \n
• Current RN to practice in the state of Kentucky or a current multistate license\n\nCertifications : \n
• ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire\n\nRequired Skills\n
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer proficiency required.\n\nEssential Functions\n
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.\n
• Documents patient care given.\n
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.\n
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.\n
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.\n
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and / or family and provides patient / family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.\n
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.\n
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.\n
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.\n
