Position : CAD Specialist

Location : Cincinnati, OH (CVG Airport area)

Description :

Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, the CAD Specialist supports engineering and manufacturing operations through the creation, modification, and management of technical drawings, models, and documentation. This position plays a critical role in translating engineering concepts into precise technical outputs that meet regulatory, quality, and customer requirements. The CAD Specialist collaborates with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of design packages that support certification, production, and aftermarket needs.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Create and update 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and assemblies for aerospace components, harnesses, and systems.
• Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and design requirements to produce accurate technical documentation.
• Ensure all drawings and models comply with AS9100, FAA, and company design standards.
• Revise and maintain engineering change documentation in coordination with the Configuration Management team.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to support design reviews, certification efforts, and production readiness.
• Provide CAD support for manufacturing, including tooling, work instructions, and fixture designs.
• Assist with bill of materials (BOM) generation and data entry into ERP and PLM systems.
• Maintain drawing libraries, templates, and CAD standards to ensure consistency across projects.
• Support quality and compliance audits by preparing and presenting accurate drawing records.
• Train and support team members in proper CAD usage when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
