Police Officer / School Resource Officer

Responsibilities

  • Enforcing state laws and local ordinances.
  • Serving as a resource to students, staff, and parents within the school district.
  • Promoting safety through education, mentorship, and positive relationship building.
  • Responding to emergencies and assisting with investigations.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • MCOLES certified or certifiable
  • Consideration will be given for candidates to be sponsored in a local Police Academy
  • Must possess a valid Michigan Driver License, be a US citizen, and at least 21 years of age
  • Must successfully pass the hiring process including a complete background check
  • Candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug screen, physical and psychological examinations, where applicable
  • Must possess a High School Diploma / GED
  • Associates / Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to enforce laws and provide positive engagement within the school community

    • Wage and Benefits

  • Starting wage of $11 / hr ($60,548.80 / year)
