COMPENSATION : $54,911 - $65,894, Home Office Grade 4

THE ROLE
When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include :
Leave Administration and Processing :
Upholding leave processing standards by 1) auditing leave decisions for accuracy, 2) working with the Total Leave management provider to correct errors and meet service level agreements for staff and organization, and 3) submitting paid leave approval data to payroll for processing;Creating and sustaining productive and collaborative relationships with internal teams, all benefit carriers, and constituents to ensure accountability for and execution of service agreements;Providing reporting, analysis, and recommendations on leave trends and compliance risk;Partnering with third-party leave and disability administrators, Talent teammates, and managers to manage claims, ensure timely completion of portal tasks, and resolve escalations;Developing and improving leave, ADA, and Worker’s Compensation resources and guidelines;Maintaining strong, accurate documentation and standard operating procedures for workstreams in this role;Collaborating with managers and the Talent team to ensure all ADA and Worker’s Compensation cases are addressed according to service level agreements.Cross-Functional Supports :
Verifying accurate and timely processing of staff termination details within the HRIS and Benefits Systems;Manage and monitor team Benefits’ e-mail inbox to ensure inquiries are addressed according to service level agreements.Responding to inquiries from a variety of constituents, including current employees, managers, new hires, former employees, external entities, etc. with strong customer service in a timely fashion;Collaborating with the Benefits Director and Manager on the planning, execution, and administration of key benefit initiatives, including but not limited to Annual Enrollment, Flu clinics, Wellness programming and events, etc.;Supporting the upkeep and improvement of benefits resources for staff on all Benefits platforms.Training :
Educating self and training others on federal and state regulations concerning benefits protections and tax implications for employees.Additional duties as assigned.THE PERSON

THE MUST HAVES
1-2 years of Human Resources experienceBachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution OR 4 years of full-time professional work experience (in lieu of a bachelor’s degree)Understanding of leave processes and laws pertaining to the Family Medical Leave Act and Americans with Disabilities ActStrong attention to detail and communication skillsCommitment to teamwork and collaboration with a solutions orientationTHE NICE TO HAVES

Compensation – This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option or a $24 monthly option that includes $50 YES Prep Paid Health Savings Account contribution, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.Retirement Plans – Participation in Teacher Retirement System of Texas and an optional 457b Retirement Plan.Paid Time Off – Employees working 20+ hours a week receive 15 days of Paid Time Off in addition to the system closures during the Academic Calendar .Paid Leave Programming – In the event you need to be out due to medical needs (including maternity and paternity leave), YES Prep offers paid leave, paid out at 100%, based on eligibility and tenure.Professional Development - YES Prep values longevity and performance over time.
