Position Summary
Leads and oversees complex ship repair and maintenance programs. This leadership role is responsible for driving execution, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful project outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison for stakeholders, gathering requirements, managing expectations, and communicating program milestones and updates.
Define program needs and integrate workflows that align with best practices in ship repair and maintenance.
Oversee program scope, schedules, and budgets, proactively managing risks and making adjustments as needed to meet objectives.
Monitor project financials and provide regular reports to senior leadership in weekly financial meetings.
Conduct and participate in Project Management Team (PMT) training covering topics such as CFR writing, contract types, project deliverables, material status reports (MSR), and financial tracking.
Participate in bid reviews and kickoff meetings for projects under your program.
Lead weekly production updates and provide status reports on ongoing projects.
Interpret specifications, technical references, and drawings with a high level of accuracy.
Create and manage detailed project schedules, including sequencing and resource loading using Microsoft Project.
Ensure all projects meet quality standards, technical requirements, and contractual obligations.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and representing the companys interests across current and prospective contracts.
Provide leadership and oversight to Project Managers, Superintendents, and other program personnel.
Coordinate and supervise contract administration and program operations, including planning, execution, and performance reporting.
Interface with government representatives on technical, administrative, and project-specific matters.
Bring specialized experience managing multiple shipyard projects, with a focus on planning, coordination, and execution.

Education and Experience :
6+ years of management or supervisory experience in ship repair, overhaul, or testingpreferably on Navy vessels.
3+ years of experience overseeing multiple projects in a shipyard or similar operational setting
Additional Requirements
Must be able to obtain access to government facilities.
Successful completion of drug screening and physical examination is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge and experience with enterprise resource planning modules a plus.
Ability to perform complex problem solving, analyze information and develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and interact with various job classifications.
Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability and tolerance to meet due dates and deadlines.
