Warehouse - 2nd Shift Assistant Supervisor (Shipping)

The Assistant Superviso r will support business success by managing the accurate and timely shipment of finished goods and all other out-bound freight as well as the receiving of products, finished goods and all other in-bound freight. Primary responsibility will be to ensure that our customers' orders are completed in a timely manner with 100% accuracy. The Assistant Supervisor will oversee and ensure that Forklift Driver performance is meeting expectations (adjustable to meet business goals), and this will require him / her to be always on the warehouse floor monitoring the work of the team and the work of each individual Warehouse Associate.

Schedule : Monday-Friday 6pm-6am (with coverage on weekends)

The Warehouse Operations operates seven (7) days per week. This position is partially responsible for creating and maintaining the systems and schedules to meet these demands for their assigned shift.The Assistant Supervisor will start 1 hour before Warehouse Associates to set up the upcoming shift by inspecting the warehouse, checking the dock, creating a plan for the day (volume / hours / staffing).

Responsibilities :

• Load / unload coordination.
• Support of process improvement teams.
• On-going management of associate development, discipline, safety and morale.
• Shift-end sanitation and housekeeping.
• Maintain food safety, employee safety, and all quality standards.
• Ensure GMP and SOP for rotation, receiving and warehousing operations.
• Timely completion of all required reports and paperwork.
• Make recommendations for shipping / receiving process improvement.
• VOICE order-pick system maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Hand Off to next Assistant Supervisor
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
