Overview
Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Jacksonville, FL office. The Senior Electrical Engineer will manage multiple plans, designs and plan production for general electrical engineering on a wide variety of projects, including power distribution, lighting, grounding plans, one-line diagrams, panel and cable schedules, and project specifications. The Senior Electrical Engineer will help lead projects in the Port, DOD, Waterfront, and Transportation sectors and will help develop broader client relationships in the local market.

Responsibilities
- Complete multiple or complex electrical designs to support firm-wide projects by working with Project Managers (any discipline) and electrical teammates
- Develop strategic market plans to grow the local electrical engineering design client base
- Lead projects involving design calculations, drawings and specifications for : medium / low voltage power distribution, electrical equipment design (switchboards and switchgear), grounding systems, communications systems, electrical calculations, selective coordination and arc flash studies
- Prepare detailed large contract documents, studies and cost estimates
- Perform submittal reviews and construction observations for electrical work
- Assist in companywide Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes
- Assist in NAVFAC and other DOD projects company-wide

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering requiredProfessional Engineer license required10 to 15 years of related experienceProficient in MS Office and ability to prepare cable lists and calculationsExcellent oral and written communication and presentation skillsAbility to complete complex technical assignments and prepare / analyze technical reportsProficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; requiredProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP or EasyPower, and AGI32; preferredTWIC eligibility or possession preferredExcellent communication skills and willingness to travelDBIDS card eligibility or ability to obtain DBIDS card; requiredPost-offer verification of U.S. citizenship may be requiredPre-employment background check in compliance with NIST 800-171Legal ability to work in the U.S. and present required documents at hire (E-Verify)Benefits and working conditions :
