CNC Lathe / Mill Programmer / Engineer
Overview :
The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven history of writing complete CNC Lathe and or Mill Programs from scratch and also modifying existing programs. Job requires a strong foundation in manufacturing process development and problem solving, hands-on experience in CNC Machining, Programming, Materials, Cycle Time Analysis, CAD / CAM and manufacturing processes.
Essential job functions and responsibilities :
- Programming CNC Lathes and Mills for precision machined components.
- Analyze programs to reduce cycle times, setup operations, scrap and labor costs.
- Work with operators and machinists to determine optimal processes to achieve all quality standards.
- Determine cost effective manufacturing processes including standard and custom tooling, work-holding fixtures and functional gages.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for quotes and procurement of cutting tools, work holding and other advanced machine tooling.
- Maintain engineering documents and programs as required by internal document control procedures and industry standards.

Use software and general knowledge to develop cycle times
Develop manufacturing processes to produce quoteWork with outside vendors to meet part drawing needsKeep up with ongoing industry advancements in tooling and metal cutting technologies.Other duties as required.Required Skills and Experience :
Certificate of completion in CNC Programing or Machining preferred5+ years of CNC manufacturing and programming experience required (Turning experience preferred)1-2 years of Cad Cam Programming experience.Experience in PartMaker / Esprit Preferred
Knowledge and experience with metalworking ( CNC, Machining, Metalworking , Tooling , Assembly, etc.) and shop floor engagement.Experience with tool making or tool & die preferredDetail Oriented / Strong Organizational skillsComputer & Windows Application ExperienceFamiliarity with 2D and 3D modeling softwareCandidates MUST have authorization to work in the U.S.A.
