This innovative center will have the capacity to produce 300 million pounds of custom-formulated feedstock per year and convert it into ISCC-PLUS-certified feedstock suitable for mechanical and advanced recycling applications. The Logistics & Warehousing Manager is accountable for the reliable and efficient execution of the company's logistics and warehouse operations, reporting directly to the Senior Director, Logistics. This role owns day-to-day operational responsibility for inbound and outbound transportation, third-party logistics (3PL) management, warehouse operations, and inventory management, ensuring materials are received, stored, and shipped accurately and cost-effectively. The role also oversees vendor and 3PL relationships, including contract compliance and service performance, under the guidance of the Senior Director. Performance is measured through operational metrics such as on-time delivery, warehouse utilization, inventory accuracy, and freight cost efficiency. The Logistics & Warehousing Manager leads a hands-on operational team focused on operational execution while also contributing to strategy development, continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and execution of projects to support scalability and efficiency. The Manager works closely with internal stakeholders, including Customer Service, Tolling, Procurement, S&OP, and Finance-as well as external vendors, carriers, and warehouse partners, to ensure seamless end-to-end logistics and warehousing operations.
Key responsibilities include overseeing all daily inbound and outbound logistics and warehouse activities, ensuring timely, accurate, and safe handling of materials to include transportation schedule management, freight planning, and carrier coordination ensuring on-time deliveries; ensuring optimal storage utilization, proper segregation of materials, and adherence to warehouse safety and compliance requirements ensuring inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes; overseeing relationships with 3PL providers and freight carriers while owning the operational deployment of warehouse and logistics contracts to ensure compliance with contracts, service levels, and performance KPIs; resolving operational transportation issues promptly, escalating only when necessary; collaborating with internal stakeholders to design and deploy CCC logistics networks, processes, procedures, forecast inventory needs and align warehouse capacity with operational requirements; monitoring freight costs and implementing optimization initiatives to balance service and cost-effectiveness; identifying opportunities to streamline warehouse and logistics processes, reduce errors, and improve efficiency; defining, tracking, and reporting operational KPIs, including on-time delivery, warehouse utilization, inventory accuracy, and freight cost per ton; preparing regular operational reports for the Director, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement opportunities; collaborating with Finance, S&OP, and Customer Service to ensure data accuracy and support decision-making; ensuring ISCC+ certification is supported and ensure other regulatory and ESG compliance requirements are met; fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence within the warehouse and logistics team; and other such duties as may be required in support of Supply Chain or Manufacturing operations.
Required qualifications include a minimum of 57 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse operations, and transportation management; experience managing 3PL relationships and overseeing outsourced warehouse and transportation operations; strong knowledge of inventory management, ERP systems (D365 preferred), and supply chain processes; and practical understanding of safety, regulatory, and compliance standards in logistics and warehouse operations.
Preferred qualifications include hands-on, operationally oriented leader with strong problem-solving and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve operational issues under pressure; strong vendor and internal stakeholder collaboration skills; proficient in KPI-driven performance monitoring and reporting; continuous improvement mindset, with ability to identify and implement process enhancements; comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a need for structure, accountability, and strategic foresight; effective communicator and influencer at all levels; and commitment to compliance, safety, and sustainability principles.
Education / training includes a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field required. Relevant professional certifications (APICS / CSCP, Lean Six Sigma, CLTD) a plus.
Position mechanics include reporting to the Plant Manager, type exempt; full-time, work hours flexible, but must be available 8 : 00-5 : 00, Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekend work; location The Woodlands, Houston, TX; work environment primarily office environment but may also work in an industrial environment at times where the use of PPE is required; travel medium greater than 25% as needed to visit warehouses, distribution centers, vendor sites, and / or meet with members / attend off-site meetings; physical demand substantially that of an office environment.
