Job Description

As a Security Professional - Unarmed in Fairfax, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence and routine patrols will provide reassurance, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and communication will foster a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors within a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities, including suspicious activities or potential hazards, to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and / or screening visitors as required by site procedures.
  • Support Allied Universal and healthcare staff during emergencies by providing guidance and assistance as directed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities and incidents as required by site procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
