Overview

A law firm seeks a litigation attorney for its Canton, OH office. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of general civil litigation experience, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, handling complex discovery, and preparing cases for trial.

Duties

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Handle complex discovery and electronic stored information (ESI).
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests.
  • Prepare cases for trial.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of general civil litigation experience.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • License to practice in Ohio.
  • Familiarity with Ohio state and federal court systems.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
