Technical Writer

Overview

BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a Technical Writer with 3+ years of experience to work with Quality Assurance Engineers, Software Developers, and Testers using customer defined engineering processes in support of the Navy Mission Planning System, at Point Mugu Naval Base in Camarillo, CA. Salary

The typical annual salary range for this position is $79,775.00 USD to $110,802.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.

Responsibilities

• Write technical materials, such as test reports, equipment manuals, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions.
• May assist in layout work
• Create and maintain multiple documents associated with product deliveries including, but not limited to, Logistics, Configuration Management, Systems Engineering and Test for Domestic and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) :

Software Description Documents (SDD)

Manage / Monitor / Update information from cybersecurity databases into program related systems. Review all active application components and associated versions active in the fleet. Ensure that applications are active in DADMS, not expired or about to expire

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Degree : High School diploma

Allowable Substitution : GED; or Vocational training commensurate with Department of Labor functional description

CLEARANCE

Condition of Employment : Applicant must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. The applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

CITIZENSHIP
