Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A part-time opportunity is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) working with early childhood students in a school located approximately 85 miles south of San Antonio, TX. This position is a contract role running from August 11, 2025, through May 21, 2026.

Responsibilities include assessing and providing specialized instruction to students with visual impairments. Initially, the caseload may consist of one ining kindergarten student who has a prosthetic eye and requires individualized early intervention support. The student has not yet been officially registered or assessed, so part of the role will involve conducting evaluations to identify educational and support needs.

Key qualifications and experience desired :

• Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience working with young children, preferably in early childhood education settings
• Ability to assess and develop individualized educational plans for students with visual impairments
• Strong munication skills to collaborate with families and school staff
• Flexibility and adaptability, especially during initial student identification and assessment stages
