As a Job Coach at Vinfen, you may work with people who have psychiatric conditions, intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain injuries, or behavioral health challenges to support their career goals. Job Coaches help individuals build confidence, develop job skills, and achieve greater independence within their community. You will collaborate with the people we serve, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff to transform lives. Roles are on-the-go and may involve coaching individuals one-on-one or in group settings, monitoring progress, and supporting various employment and vocational programs.
Responsibilities
- Coaching individuals individually or in group settings to support career goals and skill development.
- Monitoring work progress and evaluating the effectiveness of employment and vocational programs.
- Traveling to diverse work sites in the community to provide hands-on support to employers and people we serve.
- Modeling appropriate social interactions with employers and the public.
- Tracking daily progress and achievement of employment goals.
- Managing daily operations at a program, facility, or community employment setting as needed.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred; High School diploma or GED required. Experience may substitute for education.1 year of related experience.Strong time management, organizational, and writing skills.All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and hold a current, valid US driver's license for at least 6 months.CPR, First Aid certification within 2 weeks of employment and MED certification within 150 days of employment.Ability to pass CORI, reference, national fingerprinting, and driving record checks.Benefits
