Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Logistics

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Logistics in Winchester, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a logistics and distribution location. Your visible presence will support a secure environment while you interact with staff and visitors, providing excellent customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate : $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Thur 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Fri 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sat 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sun 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and loading areas to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers as needed.
  • Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Support access control procedures and assist with visitor management as required by site policies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to work at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
