Assistant Controller

Focus Search LLC is recruiting for a Senior Accountant role in a Leadership Development Program for a national waste management company with offices in the South Sound area. This role plays a vital role in financial management, process improvement, and business operations, working closely with the Accounting leadership to oversee multiple operating locations. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing variances, forecasting, conducting rate analysis, managing accounting data flow, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, and participating in budgeting. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to train non-financial personnel. Some travel is involved, with relocation opportunities available.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 1-3 years of experience (public accounting preferred)
• Strong project management, leadership, and communications skills

Salary $90-100k
