We are seeking an experienced HR & Benefits Manager (Part-Time Consultant) to support our People Operations team with U.S.-specific compliance, legal, and HR processes. This individual will play a key role in ensuring our HR practices align with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a seamless employee experience across the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Legal :Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with U.S. labor laws and regulations.Onboarding & Offboarding :Manage end-to-end onboarding processes for U.S.-based employees, including documentation, background checks, and benefits enrollment.Oversee offboarding procedures to ensure compliance, proper documentation, and smooth transitions.Insurance & Benefits :Evaluate, implement, and manage U.S. employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, 401k, disability, life insurance, etc.) in different states in the USA and other locations (Europe).Ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, and other benefits-related regulations.Compensation & Payroll Support :Partner with Finance and external providers to ensure accurate payroll processing and tax compliance.Employee Relations & Support :Serve as a trusted advisor for U.S.-based employees on HR policies, benefits, and employment-related queries.Provide guidance on sensitive employee relations matters while mitigating risk and ensuring compliance.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR certification a plus).5+ years of HR experience with a strong focus on U.S. compliance, benefits, and employee lifecycle management.In-depth knowledge of U.S. employment laws, HR best practices, and regulatory requirements.Experience working in a fast-paced, international, or tech / startup environment preferred.Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across time zones.With an outstanding product and a mission that excites and inspires, Appodeal offers a unique opportunity to make an impact while being part of an amazing team.
