Senior Human Resources Specialist

Role Overview
The Senior HR Specialist (North America) will play a critical role in supporting AH Group's growing North American workforce, which is 90% US-based. This role is hands-on and execution-oriented, responsible for ensuring policy compliance, driving employee engagement initiatives, delivering day-to-day HR operations, ie, payroll, onboarding, offboarding, and benefits, and supporting recruiting activities. The role will serve as the first dedicated HR resource in North America, reporting to the Global HR Manager / Chief of Staff, and will have the opportunity to scale into a Human Resources Manager role over the next 3–5 years as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Administer core HR processes including payroll, onboarding, offboarding, benefits coordination, and employee record management.
- Partner with managers to address employee relations matters, escalating to Global HR Manager as needed.
- Support employee engagement programs (e.g., surveys, recognition programs, communication initiatives).
- Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and candidate experience
- Partner with the Global HR Manager to implement consistent policies and procedures across the organization.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees in North America for HR-related inquiries.
- Contribute to HR projects as the company scales, with an eye toward transitioning into an HR Manager role.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.3 years of HR experience, with at least 2+ years in a generalist or HR operations capacity.Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with employees and leaders.Hands-on, solutions-oriented approach with a willingness to roll up sleeves.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Growth Path
