Belen Jesuit Preparatory School is currently accepting applications for a full-time Director of Data and Analytics . S / he will help drive data-driven decision-making by ensuring our database systems serve as a strategic asset for the school. This role focuses on enhancing processes, ensuring data integrity, and promoting the innovative use of systems. The Director will oversee data accuracy and accessibility, while proactively supporting administrative and academic staff in leveraging data to advance institutional goals, enhance operational efficiency, and support the school's mission and strategic plan. The Director of Data and Analysis reports directly to the President of the School.

A working knowledge of the Society of Jesus and Jesuit education is desirable. Salary is commensurate with degrees and experience.

Term : 12-month, full-time, exempt position.
Functions include :
Collaboration and System Improvement.
- Conduct thorough analyses of current workflows within the school, identifying specific areas where manual processes can be effectively automated or streamlined using electronic systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholder groups and meet with power users regularly to review and implement new product enhancements, ensuring optimal use of current technology and application standards.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director of Technology to support the implementation of the data warehouse. In collaboration with the Executive Director of Technology, create training documentation and guidelines for end users.
- Offer subject matter expertise for software systems such as Blackbaud Education Management, Tuition Management, and Raiser's Edge NXT, along with advanced data interpretation support for all internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with users to coordinate and prioritize projects focused on maintenance, development, and continuous improvement.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director of Technology, serve as the project manager to utilize partner integrations for identifying and bridging gaps in current software solutions, enhancing functionality and optimizing processes to drive overall organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Observe / seek out best practices at area and national schools for possible implementation at Belen Jesuit.
Survey Management :
Design, distribute, and analyze surveys for students, faculty, parents, alumni, and benefactors.Maintain the institutional survey calendar to coordinate timing and avoid survey fatigue.Create custom surveys and reports to meet specific department needs.Reporting and Analytics :
Maintain dashboards and data visualization tools to support strategic decision-making.Clean and analyze data for dashboards, reports, and internal evaluations.Produce accurate and timely reports for administrators, faculty, and staff as needed; analyze, document, and manage data reporting requests.Create dashboards and data visualizations that facilitate data-driven decision-making.Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support data-driven and informed decisions.Work closely with school departments to understand their data needs and assist in creating custom reports and queries.Prepare comprehensive reports to meet annual statistical reporting requirements for the JSN, Archdiocese, NAIS, and school publications.Data Management Governance :
Maintain the integrity of data throughout its entire lifecycle, from admissions through post-graduation, by conducting regular system audits to identify and eliminate duplicate records.Expand the collection of other relevant data points and ensure the accuracy and consistency of information across all school systems.Collaborate with the Executive Director of Technology to develop and uphold policies and procedures that ensure the security and integrity of the school’s data systems.In collaboration with the Executive Director of Technology, oversee database consolidation initiatives and establish a comprehensive Data Governance policy.Develop standardized methods for consistent data entry across all school departments, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and compliance with best practices.Institutional Research and Strategy :
Lead institutional research to assess school programs, systems, and mission alignment.Collaborate with administrators to define metrics and design tools to measure progress toward strategic goals. Present findings and data trends to stakeholders to support institutional improvement and inform strategic decision-making.Qualifications :
A technology-related Bachelor’s degree.A minimum of five years of experience with information management software.At least 2-3 years of experience implementing or supporting information systems.Strong knowledge of admissions, registrar, and business office procedures from a K-12 and / or higher education environment.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.A high level of organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.The ability to work independently and in a team environment.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and information management applications Knowledge of Blackbaud and other common educational software platforms (preferred, but not required).Subject line should read : Director of Data and Analytics.
