Corporate Associate Attorney – Investment Services (3-6 Years)

Hybrid Schedule

Direct Counsel is partnering with a nationally recognized law firm seeking a Corporate Associate to join its Investment Services team . The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in regulatory and compliance work under the Investment Company Act of 1940 , Securities Act of 1933 , and related federal securities laws. This is an opportunity to work with a sophisticated client base including mutual funds, ETFs, closed-end funds, and independent trustees and directors.

The Opportunity

Contribute to high-level transactional work, including investment company reorganizations and mergers

Advise investment companies and advisers on federal securities compliance

Gain direct client access and mentorship from experienced shareholders

Work across offices in a highly collaborative national team

Candidate Profile

3-6 years of experience advising registered investment companies and advisers

Comfortable managing multiple matters and serving as a key contributor on transactions

Background with mutual funds, ETFs, closed-end funds, and board representation is strongly preferred

J.D. and strong academic credentials

Admitted (or actively seeking admission) in one of the firm’s office jurisdictions : IL, TX, CA, FL, NY, or DC

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary : $260,000 – $320,000

Annual discretionary bonus
