Your Role
Job Summary :
The EHS Coordinator will support the Environmental Health and Safety department, ensuring that all practices are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. The EH&S Coordinator will work under the direction of the EH&S Director to establish and maintain an effective EH&S culture within the facilities.
Job Description :
- Assist in maintaining site-specific EHS policies and procedures. Support EH&S programs as they relate to site chemical and equipment and environmental risks.
- Provide guidance and direction in EH&S programs to employees / managers as needed.
- Practice safe working techniques and re-enforce the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as set by the Company.
- Promote site environmental, health and safety, and assist in addressing new developments for improvement.
- Assist in responding to regulatory inspections, agency requests, and insurers on EH&S matters.
- Coordinate with VP, Operation Managers, and other EHS Coordinators on facility deficiencies and the development and implementation of plan corrections.
- Responsible for coordinating regulatory programs and its applications and help support the compliance process.
- Assist with coordination of safety and training programs for all employees within the business unit.
- Review OSHA logs for proper compliance.
- Maintain filing systems regarding worker training and safety.
- Maintain working relationships with regulatory agencies.
- Other daily administrative and reporting tasks as assigned by EH&S Director.
Your Profile
Education and Experience :
Four-year degree required in Environmental, Health and Safety or closely related field3+ years of experience with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 / Process Safety ManagementWorking knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and ExcelWorking knowledge of OSHA rules and regulationsKnowledge of regulatory permitting (i.e. air / waste permits)TWIC CardStrong interpersonal skills including honestly and integrityMust have strong organizational skills with focused attention to detailAbility to communicate (written and oral) in a professional manner at all levels of the organizationAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities throughout the dayAbility to learn and embrace specific order management procedures and to follow policies and procedures related to required OSHA guidelinesProficient in report writing, documentation and record keepingWillingness to work overtime and / or weekends as neededPossible overnight travel up to 10% for training, educational, audits, etc.Our Offer
