IBM iSeries Applications Engineer

Salary : $78,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Design and develop bespoke applications tailored to ERP systems to meet business needs.
- Work collaboratively with business users and stakeholders to analyze needs and transform them into concrete, working solutions.
- Integral role in conducting thorough testing to ensure software functionality and efficiency.
- Create comprehensive documentation to support development and ensure sustainable maintenance and upgrades.
- Provide training sessions and ongoing support to users, enhancing the overall user experience and software adoption.
- Continuously explore new technologies and methodologies to apply to system updates and enhancements.
- Participate in peer reviews and team meetings to ensure best practices and essential knowledge sharing.
Minimum Position Qualifications :
5+ years of hands-on experience in RPG programming within IBM iSeries environments.Proven track record of developing and implementing ERP software solutions.Strong problem-solving abilities coupled with excellent analytical skills.Proficient in understanding and navigating business accounting systems.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members and business users.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with PHP or other programming languages is beneficial.Degree in Software Development, Software Engineering, or a related field.Experience in a leadership role or guiding junior developers.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.Skills :
Advanced knowledge of RPG, SQL, and DB2.Adept at writing clean, modular, and testable code.Capability to manage multitasking and prioritize tasks without compromising quality or timelines.Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.Benefits :
